Who:
Windham Presbyterian Church partners with Hope Force international. Hope force is a Christian based disaster relief organization. Hope force has a project set up in McDowell County, near War, West Virginia.
Some people have said this area the poverty is similar to that of a third world country however it is within the borders of our own country.

For several years now, Hope Force has been focusing on the Appalachian region of the United States, one of the clearest examples of “hidden poor” in our country. Jack Minton points out, “Our staff members have been all around the world, most with decades of international aid work in our backgrounds. However, none of us were prepared for what we have begun to discover in the “coal towns” of our own country. It grips your heart to see the conditions in which some of our fellow citizens live.
What:
While in WV students and adults from Windham Presbyterian Church will be working alongside the Hope Force staff members in construction repair in order to make residents' homes safe and dry.
